Event narrative

The Grouse Fire was a lightning start 10 miles SW of Wise River MT in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. The fire started July 25th and at the time of completion of operational objectives, grew to 6,228 acres in total. Fuels involved include subalpine fir, heavy timber, and large amounts of dead and downed fuel. As previously mentioned, operational objectives are 100% complete on the fire (As of 10/28/24).
