The Sheep Creek fire was a lightning start (September 17) about 5 miles SW of Bernice, MT in the Boulder Mountains. The size of the fire is 778 acres as of writing, with 54% of operational objectives complete on the fire as of November 7, 2024. Fuels involved include live trees, dead lodgepole pines with a layer of grass and litter.
