Event narrative

The Red Wildfire was discovered on July 17th at 935 AM PST. The fire started 16 miles west-northwest to 18 miles west of Crescent, in the Diamond Peak Wilderness of Klamath County, Oregon. The fire was caused by lightning. As of 530 AM PST on October 1st, it had burned 2,200 acres, was 11% contained, no structures had been destroyed, and it had cost $ 25.5M.
