Emergency managers from Lares reported through its social media page that breadfruit tree fell due to thunderstorm winds around 35 or 40 mph. This affected the power lines around sector Los Mameyes in Lares.

The proximity of an upper level trough, along with an area of enhanced moisture, very light winds and strong heating resulted in explosive convection developing over Puerto Rico. The thunderstorms produced very heavy rainfall, lightning, gusty winds, and even hail. Flooding and landslides were reported in several areas in Puerto Rico. Water surges along rivers were common, with some rivers even reaching flood stage.
