Emergency Manager Director from Ponce reported flooding along PR-505 due to Rio Bayagan out of its banks at Sector La Yuca in Barrio Machuelo Arriba.

The interaction of Hurricane Kirk and another low pressure across the north Atlantic modulated the local weather pattern, pooling abundant moisture and promoting light winds in the region. Additionally, increasing instability due to the proximity of a mid to upper level trough favored deeper convection development each afternoon. This resulted in widespread showers and thunderstorms each day along Puerto Rico, with daily amounts ranging from 2 to 4 inches, and localized higher amounts. With an elevated flooding risk, several flood and landslide reports were received.
