Event narrative

Several outhouse buildings and power poles damaged. One house was destroyed as it slid off its foundation and one occupant inside it was injured. Estimated 80-90 mph winds.

Wider weather episode

Line of storms ahead of a strong low pressure system produced a concentrated swath of 70-90 mph winds in northeast Kansas up to the Nebraska border, with just a few isolated wind gust reports elsewhere.
