Event narrative

A mature waterspout was observed south of Key West. The condensation cloud extended almost completely to the water surface. A spray ring was also visible. The waterspout moved slowly toward the north. The waterspout became obscured by rain after about 10 minutes.

An isolated waterspout was observed south of Key West in association with a convective rain shower. The environment featured weak lower tropospheric steering flow and very weak mid-level capping.
