Reports from all over Lee County, especially at higher elevations, of large limbs to large trees being blown down by severe high winds from Helene over the course of several hours. Time duration of event is uncertain between reports of damage and radar wind data. Extremely saturated soils led to weakly rooted trees falling over and leading to scattered power outages and blocked roads in the county.

Tropical Storm Helene caps off a several day heavy rainfall event in association with a stalled closed upper low with additional rain yielding catastrophic flash and river flooding, and significant wind damage as wet soils and strong wind gusts led to forest damage.
