North Eugene Island (EINL1) recorded a sustained wind of 66 knots with a peak gust of 91 knots as the eyewall brushed the station.

Hurricane Francine moved across the coastal gulf waters to make landfall near the Saint Mary and Terrebonne Parish line. High wind gusts were recorded at a couple sites.
