Dense fog formed during the early morning hours on Oct. 23rd over the inland Coastal Plains to Brush Country. A two car head-on accident occurred in Jim Wells County off of Highway 369 and FM 1539, south of Orange Grove. The crash resulted in 1 injury of a 19-year old male and 1 fatality of a 17-year old male. Nearby AWOS station in Orange Grove, KNOG, reported visibilities of 1/2 mile to 1/4 mile around the time of the accident occurred around 6:30 AM CDT.
