A tree was blown down across Dogwood Lane outside the town of West Union.

Wider weather episode

On the evening of October 6th, a cold front promoted isolated showers and thunderstorms across West Virginia. One particular storm that evening crossed through both Ritchie and Doddridge Counties and resulted in downed trees due to the strong winds it caused. With the loss of daytime heating, radar activity quickly weakened in the state and departed to the east.
