Event narrative

Trees and power lines were blown down across the county. A gust to 48 mph was measured by the mesonet station in Washington, and a 54 mph gust was measured at the Lewisburg AWOS.

Wider weather episode

Remnants of Hurricane Helene moved north through the eastern Tennessee Valley into the southern Ohio Valley. Widespread high winds with gusts in excess of 40 MPH, created numerous power outages from downed trees and power lines.
