Event narrative

The combination of strong high pressure over eastern Canada and weak low pressure off the southern New England coast, resulted in north to northeast winds which caused minor to moderate (tidal) coastal flooding over portions of Currituck county adjacent to the Atlantic coast. Duck reached 6.19 feet MLLW at 724 AM on Thursday, September 19.
