Webcams indicated visibility below 1000 feet along portions of Interstate 5 west of Bakersfield.

Wider weather episode

High clouds streaming over the area as a result of an offshore upper low pressure system inhibited fog from forming in the San Joaquin Valley until well into the morning hours of November 30 although once the fog developed, visibility dropped below a quarter mile across much of the south San Joaquin Valley. The fog lifted into a low cloud deck by late morning as the offshore low provided for some mixing to take place.
