Snowfall totals across southeastern St. Lawrence county ranged from 6 to 20 inches with some specific totals including; 20 inches in Pitcairn, 18 inches in Balmat, 15 inches in Star Lake and 8 inches in Edwards.

Wider weather episode

Broad closed upper level area of low pressure across Ontario and Quebec provinces delivered a sustained WSW flow of cold air across relatively mild, even record warm lake temperatures beginning late November 28th through December 1st. This developed a prolonged single lake effect snow band that oscillated north and south during this period until it moved south of the region permanently on the afternoon of December 1st.

Lake effect snowfall totals of 3 to 4+ feet occurred in Jefferson county with southern portions of St. Lawrence county receiving 1 to 2 feet in some communities.
