Local broadcast media reported beach erosion and sand pushed against sea walls, onto homes, and across the historic Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Ocean water also pushed inland into inlets, canals, and the Intracoastal Waterway. Tide levels at nearby South Port Everglades peaked at 1.66 feet MHHW or 3.44 feet MLLW at 9:30 AM EDT October 18th.

Higher than normal water levels occurred in mid October due to the full moon cycle, or king tides, with onshore winds, across the Atlantic coast of South Florida. Minor coastal flooding was possible during high tide with the peak height on October 18th.
