Zero to 5 inches of snow fell across the area. Here are some snowfall reports received, 0.7 E 11-Mile Canyon Reservoir 5.0 inches, 3 NNE Bailey 3.9 inches, 1 NNW Lake George 3.0 inches, 5 N Alma 3.0 inches, and Grant 1 W 2.0 inches.

A band of snow of developed during the morning hours on December 9th over the Palmer Divide. Even though snowfall was light, pavement and air temperatures were the right combination for snowfall to melt on paved surfaces and then freeze. This produced very slippery roads, which resulting car accidents and long traffic delays. A more organized area of snow fell during the late afternoon and evening hours of the 9th. Again the snow melted and then froze to the roadways creating very slippery conditions. Between 5 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday, Denver Police responded to 150 crashes ' nearly triple the 57 crashes reported during the same timeframe earlier this week when the roads were dry.
