Event narrative
A completely flooded roadway was reported at PR-2, KM76 near a fast food restaurant, a beauty supply and a shopping center due to poor drainage. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
Wider weather episode
A series of cold fronts and a polar trough increased moisture and instability across the region to end October and start November. Above normal moisture, saturated soils, and rivers running high increased the risk of flooding. A Flash Flood Watch was in effect on November 1st with Debris Flow, Sinkholes, Flooding and Flash Flooding being reported in southeastern and north-central Puerto Rico.
