Emergency Managers reported that PR-2, KM 84.0 (Jose Joaquin Yiye Avila St.) in front of El Buen Cafe Restaurant was completely flooded with both lanes impassable.
Wider weather episode
A series of cold fronts and a polar trough increased moisture and instability across the region to end October and start November. Above normal moisture, saturated soils, and rivers running high increased the risk of flooding. A Flash Flood Watch was in effect on November 1st with Debris Flow, Sinkholes, Flooding and Flash Flooding being reported in southeastern and north-central Puerto Rico.
