A west wind gust of 34 knots was observed at the WeatherFlow station at Carysfort Reef Light.
The wider storm
A trough of low pressure combined with favorable upper level divergence supported strong convective development across the Straits of Florida and Florida Keys. Scattered gale-force wind gusts occurred in association with widespread showers and thunderstorms moving eastward through the Florida Keys.
