Dense Fog in West Side of Fresno and Kings Counties, California

Zero visibility was reported in Lemoore. Several school districts either opened late or delayed or cancelled bus service due to low visibility.

High pressure remained prevalent over California on December 11 resulting in the continuation of mainly clear skies, light winds and inversion conditions over the San Joaquin Valley. This resulted in areas of dense fog forming over the center portion of the valley by sunrise reducing visibility to an eighth of a mile or less in several locations. The fog lifted into a low cloud deck by late morning and dissipated by early afternoon.
