Three injuries occurred with this icing event in Prairie County. Interstate 94 was closed from Glendive to Miles City from 430 am to 10 am. Two of the injuries required emergency treatment. Emergency travel only, or severe driving conditions were noted on the Montana DOT 511 website in the area.

Wider weather episode

Freezing rain spread northeast across a portion of northeast Montana early Sunday morning. This resulted in 10 injuries, with 4 in Dawson county, 3 in Prairie, and 1 each in Sheridan, Roosevelt and Richland counties. Interstate 94 was closed from Glendive to Miles City from 430 am to approximately 10 am. Severe driving conditions were reported in many areas east of a line from Scobey to Jordan.
