A cocorahs observer reported 3.9 inches in Port Jervis, with trained spotters reporting 3.7 inches at 2 S Montgomery Airport and 2.5 inches at Monroe.

An accumulating and advisory level snowfall occurred across northern portions of the Lower Hudson Valley in Southeastern New York. A departing strong high pressure system at 1048+mb and a weakening mid-level disturbance led to overrunning which resulted in a light accumulating snowfall. There was an expectation that less snow would be observed with less liquid precipitation overall and some freezing rain towards or just after precipitation onset. Thus, snowfall amounts in far northern sections was a bit more than anticipated.
