Following the departure of the system which brought strong winds and precipitation to the area on December 14, winds diminished and skies cleared out during the morning of December 15. As a result, dense fog formed near the center portion of the San Joaquin Valley by sunrise impacting the SR 99 and SR 198 corridors. The fog dissipated by late morning.
