Event narrative
Warm temperatures caused snowmelt to raise river levels and dislodged ice cover on the Anchor River, from the Old Sterling Highway downstream to near Anchor Point. Ice jammed at several locations along the river and caused flooding of parklands along the Anchor River and flooded areas of Anchor Point Road. Road closures were monitored by DOT.
