The mesonet stations Goldendale Agrimet and FW9819 Wakiakus recorded below freezing temperatures for 3 to 6 hours the morning of Oct. 18th. Several other stations across the Simcoe Highlands recorded temperatures at or below freezing the morning of Oct. 18th.

Wider weather episode

Cold air advection behind a upper trough exit resulted in morning temperatures cooling well below freezing across portions of the lower elevations in southeast Washington and northeast Oregon.
