A peak wind gust of 62 mph was measured at Melson Lake at 320pm AKDT. Earlier, with the warm front. there with higher gusts at Yellow Hill, at 479ft elevation. The Metlakatla AWOS station lost connection and stopped reporting after 4am, likely a result of the high winds.
