Visibility at the Sher-wood Airport (KPWD) ASOS in Plentywood, MT, reported reduced visibility due to occasional dense fog for a period of more than 12 hours during the morning hours.

Wider weather episode

A period of dense fog was reported over the extreme northeast portion, of northeast Montana, the morning of the 23rd. Visibility dropped to near zero in places. Hoar frost accumulated on objects such as power lines and trees, but no damage was noted.
