Visibility of one eighth of a mile was reported in Fresno. Webcams indicated visibility below 1000 feet in Fresno and Clovis.

Wider weather episode

With low level moisture present from recent rains and mainly clear skies and light winds prevailing, areas of dense fog formed in the San Joaquin Valley during the early morning of December 29. The fog coverage was nowhere near as prevalent as it was during the previous morning, but travel along portions of SR 99 and SR 198 were impacted. The fog lifted into a stratus deck then dissipated by late morning.
