Visibility of one sixteenth of a mile was reported in Fresno. Webcams indicated visibility below 1000 feet in Fresno and Clovis.

Wider weather episode

Thanks to upslope clouds persisting in the south end of the San Joaquin Valley inhibiting fog formation south of Fresno County, fog coverage was limited during the morning of December 31. However, patchy dense fog formed over the eastern portion of Fresno, Clovis, Sanger and Reedley just after sunrise. The fog completely dissipated by late morning.
