The ASOS at Hill City Airport (KHLC) reported a 58 mph wind gust.

High winds developed across the region resulting in numerous instances of wind gusts greater than 50 mph. The strongest wind gust was 62 mph in Goodland, Kansas. A downed power line also led to a grassfire near Rexford.
