The public reported a tree was snapped and a flagpole that was anchored in concrete was blown down. This was along Race Track Rd near the town of Castalia.

A strong cold front moved through the region in the afternoon and evening. Ahead of the front, widespread showers moved across central North Carolina. While the majority of the showers were non-severe, a few isolated damaging wind reports were observed in Nash and Johnston Counties.
