The wider storm
A long duration period of upslope snow in moist northwest flow off of the Great Lakes resulted in 3 day snow accumulations of 4 to 12 inches across western Maryland, with the higher amounts west of US-219. Winds gusted to 50 mph at times resulting in significant blowing and drifting of snow.
