Blizzard conditions developed at Kotzebue (PAOT) during the early afternoon hours of November 19th. Winds gusted as high at 53 mph while visibility dropped below a quarter of a mile.

A low pressure system moved east out of Siberia and across the Chukchi Sea bringing strong and gusty winds, moderate to heavy snow, as well as blizzard conditions to the West Coast, Brooks Range and Arctic Coast.
