Event narrative
The entire county was designated in Severe Drought (D2) at the beginning of the month. Above normal precipitation from October 29th through November 7th brought an end to the Severe Drought (D2) across much of the county. The precipitation total at Argonne was 2.53 inches during this period. From the 7th through the end of the month, only far west-central and far northwest portions of the county were designated in Severe Drought (D2) with the remainder of the county in Moderate Drought (D1).
Wider weather episode
Drought that developed in September continued across northern Wisconsin into November. Above normal precipitation brought an end to the Severe Drought (D2) across portions of northern Wisconsin during the month, except across portions of Forest, Oneida and Vilas counties where Severe Drought (D2) continued through the end of the month.
