Calm winds and plenty of moisture lingering in the Kentucky Pennyrile and southern Land Between the Lakes area resulted in dense fog development late evening on the 19th through much of the overnight hours on the 20th before northwesterly winds picked up near sunrise. Visibility dropped to a quarter mile in Madisonville and Greenville, while fog in the region could be seen on satellite.
