Co-Op station AS070 recorded a 70 mph gust, and the Walla Walla ASOS recorded a gust of 61 mph overnight the 19th into the 20th of November.
Wider weather episode
A strong band of SW flow aloft associated with a deep offshore low allowed for very strong wind gusts to occur across the foothills of the Blue Mountains during the overnight period of November 19-20. This system also produced heavy snow and blizzard like conditions along portions of the east slopes of the Cascades.
