Winter Storm in Gasconade, Missouri

A mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow fell through the morning of the 5th. After a brief break in the afternoon, more snow fell in the evening accompanied by wind gusts as high as 30 mph leading to areas of blowing snow. A total of 4 to 6 inches of snow and sleet fell across the county. About 1 inch of this fell in the form of sleet along with one quarter of an inch of freezing rain. Rosebud reported 6 inches.

A potent winter storm brought a mix of wintry precipitation to much of the state. More southerly locations saw significant freezing rain and numerous power outages. Northern locations saw several inches of snow and blowing snow. In between a mix of sleet and snow fell. All areas saw significant travel impacts from the wintry precipitation.
