A CO-OP observer in Lebanon reported 2 inches of snow and a public report of 3 inches of snow was taken on Big A Mountain outside of Honaker.

Wider weather episode

An upper level shortwave pivoting through the mean flow enhanced a typical northwest flow setup for snow and brought accumulating snow to both lower and higher elevations of southwestern Virginia.
