Several CoCoRaHS stations across the county reported 1 inch of snowfall, with the highest report being 1.5 inches of snow outside of Jonesborough.

Wider weather episode

An upper level shortwave pivoting through the mean flow enhanced a typical northwest flow setup for snow and brought accumulating snow to portions of northeastern Tennessee. Orographic lift contributed to heavy snowfall in the foothills and mountains of East Tennessee.
