Frequent wind gusts of 58 to 62 MPH were observed at a mesonet station in the Shirley Basin. A maximum wind gust of 63 MPH was observed at the PacifiCorp sensor (12 S Shirely Basin) at 12:10 PM MST on 1/21.

A strong pressure gradient across southeast Wyoming lead to an impressive high wind event across the wind prones and wind prone adjacent area on 1/21.
