Overnight low temperatures fell to near -10 F across Morrill County from 1/20 into 1/21, with daytime highs generally remaining under 5 F during the afternoon on 1/20. The cold temperatures combined with gusty winds resulted in a prolonged period of extreme wind chills under -30 F. Minimum observed wind chill values reached -34 F at NEDOR sensor NE062 (6 miles SSW of Angora) at 8:38 AM MST on 1/20.
