Severe Drought that began on October 29, 2024 in extreme northeastern Fountain County continued into November. 4-week rainfall totals around 2.75 inches led to an improvement to Moderate Drought on November 26, 2024.

Wider weather episode

Widespread Severe Drought (D2) which had expanded across almost all of Indiana's northern third on October 29, 2024 was maintained through the November 5th update. Locally heavy rains over the Upper Wabash Valley through the month's first week led to a partial improvement to Moderate Drought conditions (D1) on November 12th in parts of Warren County. Subsequent 2-week rainfall over 1.00 inch promoted further improvement on November 26th when all areas with remaining D2 improved to D1.
