Overnight low temperatures fell to near -20 F across southwest Carbon County from 1/20 into 1/21. The combination of cold temperatures and gusty winds resulted in a period of extreme wind chills under -30 F. Minimum observed wind chill values reached -37 F at the Dixon Airport AWOS sensor (2 miles E of Dixon) at 9:35 PM MST on 1/20.
