National Gridded Snowfall Analysis indicated storm totals of 3 to 12 inches at elevations above 4000 feet, with highest amounts around Snowmans Hill Summit on Highway 89. Precipitation amounts in the zone included: 1.76 inches at Sand Flat, 1.50 inches at Mt. Shasta City, and 0.93 inches at Snowman.

Wider weather episode

An occluding front and then a post-frontal trough swept east across the region with lowering snow levels and heavy snow for the Mt. Shasta region at elevations above 4000 feet.
