National Gridded Snowfall Analysis indicated storm totals of 8 to 18 inches, with highest amounts around Snowmans Hill Summit on Highway 89. Precipitation amounts in the zone included: 1.92 inches at Sand Flat, and 1.45 inches at Mt. Shasta City.
The wider storm
A strong cold front associated with deep low pressure moving toward Vancouver Island brought heavy snow and strong winds to much of southern Oregon and northern California with snow levels around 3500 to 4000 feet. The front was slow-moving with snow levels gradually rising during 11/20/2024.
