National Gridded Snowfall Analysis indicated storm totals of 6 to 18 inches of snow, with the highest amounts in the southern portion of the zone. Precipitation amounts in the zone included 0.54 inches at Tennant, while 2.23 inches was reported at the Mt. Shasta Ski Bowl. Also, south winds were very strong with peak gusts reported of 80 mph at Indian Well, 82 mph at Van Bremmer, and 68 mph at Pluto's Cave.
Wider weather episode
A strong cold front associated with deep low pressure moving toward Vancouver Island brought heavy snow and strong winds to much of southern Oregon and northern California with snow levels around 3500 to 4000 feet. The front was slow-moving with snow levels gradually rising during 11/20/2024.
