National Gridded Snowfall Analysis indicated storm totals of 4 to 18 inches, with the highest amounts at elevations above 4000 feet. Precipitation amounts in the zone included 3.00 inches at Biegelow Camp, 0.90 inches at Fourmile Lake, 1.60 inches at Sevenmile Marsh, and 1.10 inches at Howard Prairie. Also, south winds were very strong with a peak gust of 89 mph recorded at Acorn Woman Peak, and 62 mph at Parker Mountain.
Wider weather episode
A strong cold front associated with deep low pressure moving toward Vancouver Island brought heavy snow and strong winds to much of southern Oregon and northern California with snow levels around 3500 to 4000 feet. The front was slow-moving with snow levels gradually rising during 11/20/2024.
