Dry conditions allowed for severe (D2) drought conditions to continue across southeastern Pennsylvania through January 2025. Multiple snow storms traversing central Pennsylvania brought snowfall accumulations to the area towards the middle to end of the month; however, the long duration of dry conditions leading up to these systems allowed for drought to persist through the entire month.
