Heavy snowfall with totals ranging from 6-10 occurred across coastal Sussex County. The highest report was 10.0 from near Lewes.7.0 was reported in Bethany Beach. Based on surrounding reports farther inland, it's possible that up to 12 of snow fell along the uninhabited portion of the coast between Dewey Beach and Indian River Inlet.

Wider weather episode

A winter storm brought heavy banded snow to portions of Delmarva and southern New Jersey, with lighter snowfall amounts tapering off to the north into the Philadelphia metro area.
